DEARBORN - One man’s garbage is another man’s art supply.
Tony Roko was an 18-year-old working on the assembly line when a manager saw him sketching drawings in his notebook and asked him to be a part of a new beautification project.
That day an artist was born. He began painting murals on the walls of the factories to lift employee morale.
Roko is now an accomplished artist, recognized nationally and giving back to his community. He continues to work in the factories as a safety painter.
