The Bring a Child to Work event was happily repeated again this year on 30 Oct.
One hundred children, aged 11 to 13, experienced supervised workshops, including clay modelling, test track rides, spray painting, Environmental Test Lab, Materials Lab, Rapid Prototype Development and vehicle parts competition.
It is a great opportunity for the children to see the key areas of the Dunton Technical Centre and promote engineering as a possible career choice.
Prizes were given in several catergories and awarded by Andy Beard, VEV manager. Many volunteers at Dunton generously give their time to help deliver a memorable, fun day.
Feedback from the children and their parents has been extremely positive, providing a sound basis for future events.
Lisa Johnson-Geach , Education and Community Department, would like to thank all those involved in the event.
