Lump Sum Offers Continue through 2013 for GRP Retirees, Includes Former Employees

By the end of May, 2013, four election periods will be completed with approximately 57,000 retirees, including surviving beneficiaries, receiving their General Retirement Plan (GRP) lump-sum offers. Overall, this initiative has been going extremely well in many ways since it was first announced on April 27, 2012. The remaining eligible retirees, surviving beneficiaries and alternate payees (those with a Qualified Domestic Relations Order or QDRO) will receive their offers in separate election periods conducted through the end of 2013. The most recent election period began on May 1, 2013.

Voting Results from Ford Motor Company’s 2013 Annual Meeting of Shareholders

A total of 69 people attended the annual meeting of shareholders in Wilmington, Del. this week.

Voting results indicate that a total of 3,162,247,188 shares of common stock and 70,852,076 shares of Class B stock with a total aggregate of 5,734,531,807 votes were represented in person or by proxy at the annual meeting. These shares represent 89.17 percent of all the votes that could have been cast.

Lincoln Sales Up 21 Percent in April, Looking Forward to May

The month of April was a step in the right direction for Lincoln. Overall U.S. sales for the brand were up 21 percent from a year ago, this was led by phenomenal Lincoln MKZ sales which were up 115 percent year-over-year.

The President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto and the Governor of the State of Mexico Eruviel Ávila recently held a press conference to present the new Ford police fleet for the State that includes more than one hundred Police Interceptors and 93 Ford F-150's. The new Ford Police Interceptor brings a whole new level of competency versus Chrysler's Charger, which was the benchmark in Mexico for vehicles designed for police and security matters.
