Ford's Hot-Selling Fiesta to Make 2010 SEMA Debut, Put Small Car Style, Performance on the Map
People love to modify small cars, so it's no surprise that consumers and aftermarket companies are eager to get their hands on Ford's hot-selling Fiesta, set to debut at this year's SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas Nov. 2-5.

Customization is something already familiar to Fiesta owners. Ford Custom Accessories offers almost anything an owner would need to put a creative touch on Fiesta or give the car even more functionality. Accessory options include exterior or interior design items such as an illuminated gear indicator shift knob and rear spoiler, even a kayak carrier to haul outdoor gear. Ford Canada Sales Up 64 Percent; Best September Since 1978
Ford of Canada, Limited saw sales increase 64 percent compared to the same period last year, marking the best September in more than 30 years. Overall car sales increased 15 percent, truck sales grew 81 percent while crossover sales jumped 124 percent compared to last September. With sales up 22 percent year-to-date, Ford of Canada continues to lead the market for 2010.

With its first full month of sales, the newly redesigned, Canadian-built 2011 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX are showing positive gains with sales increasing 174 percent and 224 percent, respectively. September also marked a record breaking month for the luxury crossover – Lincoln MKX. Both vehicles are the first to offer MyFord Touch™ and MyLincoln Touch™ state-of-the-art technology, designed to provide a smarter, safer, simpler way to connect drivers with their in-car technologies and digital lives.

Ford Product Development Leader Derrick Kuzak Inducted into Elite Engineering Community
Ford's Group Vice President, Global Product Development, Derrick Kuzak, is now a member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), one of the highest and most prestigious honors within the engineering community worldwide.

Voted in by his peers and current NAE members for his visionary leadership in vehicle design and development, Kuzak is one of less than 2,300 engineers worldwide – covering all disciplines – holding the prestigious NAE distinction. For 2010, only 68 new members were inducted into the academy, a private institution that acts as advisor to the federal government on subjects related to art, science, technology and the quality of life.

Interactive Road Rally with New Ford Focus
Ford Teams Up with The Amazing Race Creators for Interactive Road Rally with New Ford Focus
Ford is teaming up with the Emmy Award-winning creators of The Amazing Race – Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri – to create the first interactive real-time road rally featuring the new 2012 Ford Focus.

The five-week program, Focus Rally: America, begins taping in February and will be streamed on Hulu. The program will capture the vibrancy of the Fiesta Movement but with the added element of a real-time reality show.

The rally will feature six teams of two people competing against one another to complete tasks in a challenging cross-country road rally adventure to win a U.S. $100,000 grand prize plus 10 new Focuses for fans and supporters of the winning team.

Ford and N.Y. Power Authority Team Up to Prepare New York for Electric Vehicles
Ford and the New York Power Authority (NYPA) announced they are coordinating efforts to help prepare the state of New York for the operation of electric vehicles. Ford and NYPA will work together to develop consumer outreach and education programs on electric vehicles as well as share information on charging needs and requirements to ensure the electrical grid can support the necessary demand.

The collaboration between Ford and NYPA was announced during Ford's "Charging Into the Future Electric Vehicle Tour," which visited New York City on Monday. The 14-city tour, which kicked off at Portland State University in Portland, Ore. in August, promotes Ford's electric vehicle strategy and educates consumers about what to expect from electrified automobiles and what is needed from the public and private sector to support this new technology.

Ford Focus ST Named 'Most Fun' Vehicle at 2010 Paris Motor Show by AutoWeek Magazine
The AutoWeek editorial staff has named Ford's Focus ST the "Most Fun" vehicle of the 2010 Paris Motor Show. High praise indeed, considering the Focus ST beat out the Porsche 911 Speedster, Ferrari SA Aperta, Audi E-tron Spyder and Audi Quattro concept at the biennial gathering in Paris.
