State of Michigan Income Tax Law Changes Impact Pension and Retirement Distributions
Effective January 1, 2012, Michigan’s tax treatment of pension and retirement benefits was changed. Certain pension benefits may now be subject to Michigan income tax and tax may be required to be withheld from Ford pension payments to retirees. The Michigan tax treatment of pension income varies based on age, marital status, amount of retirement income and number of personal exemptions claimed on the Michigan Income Tax Return (MI-1040). As a result, new Michigan income tax withholding elections may need to be made.

Ford's Group V.P. of Global Product Development Shares Appreciation for Years of Support
On April 1, Ford's Global Product Development Chief Derrick Kuzak will retire from Ford Motor Company after 33 years of service.

“It has been an honor to work with so many talented men and women to develop for customers so many meaningful vehicles during the past 33 years,” Kuzak said. “The most rewarding accomplishment is to see all of our teams working together around the world to deliver vehicles in each region that are now consistently great to look at, great to sit in and fun to drive – with bold, emotive designs and fuel economy as a reason to buy.”

Company Marks the Manufacture of the 1 Millionth Lincoln
On March 25, 1968 Ford celebrated the production of the 1 millionth Lincoln, a 1968 Continental, at the Wixom Assembly Plant. The very first Lincoln was produced in September of 1920, long before Ford’s purchase of Lincoln.
