It once worked tirelessly at Romeo Engine Plant, but now a piece of equipment will have a second life.
A robot once used by REP employees has now been shipped to Ford's training center, where it will now train a new generation of skilled trades workers.
"Plants were surveyed for extra equipment and Romeo offered to donate this robot," said Randy Lashbrook, UAW Local 400 plant chairman. "It will be very beneficial for hands-on training for skilled trades employees."
The training center is located in Lincoln Park, MI.
