KANSAS CITY - The White House confirmed that President Obama will visit the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant on Friday, Sept. 20. The Kansas City plant is a great example of how Ford is contributing to U.S. economic growth and job creation. The plant supports more than 3,500 local Ford jobs today with an additional 1,000 starting in January 2014, and produces green, quality, safe, smart vehicles that our customers value. The President will see the production line for Ford’s world-leading F-150 trucks and the future area for the production of the all-new Ford Transit full-size van family, which arrives in the summer of 2014.
