The Ford Chorus is a recreational, community chorus of Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass (SATB), whose members are Ford employees, family, and friends. Directed by Dr. Jonathan Drake, and accompanied by Melanie Jim, the Ford Chorus performs at several events throughout the year.
The fall chorus season runs from September through December and the spring season runs from January through June. The chorus performs 6-7 times per season. Over the past few years, the chorus has performed at a number of retirement communities in the area (Maple Heights, Henry Ford Retirement Village, American House), at Race for the Cure in Detroit, at the March of Dimes Walk for Babies, Dearborn Heights Spirit Fest and at a number of Ford sponsored events. In 2011, the chorus performed its 1st Halloween event in conjunction with the Garden City Rotary and Garden City Public Schools.
We are always looking for new members to join the Chorus. If you enjoy singing, can sing in tune, and would like to hear yourself improve under the direction of Dr. Drake, we would love to have you! We meet Monday nights in the side hallway next to the auditorium of the Ford World Headquarters (WHQ) from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Enter from the North parking lot, closest to Hubbard Drive. Free parking is available. Hope to see you there!
